Prepared in 1942 by the Italian Consociazione Turistica Italiana (Tourism Federation), the map is entitled "Aisa Orientale".
In the map "China, French Indochina, Siam and Korea" included in page 122 of Rand McNally World Atlas published in 1943, Siam referred to Thailand and Xisha Qundao was marked "Paracel Islands (China)."
Prepared in 1952 by the Department of Geodesy Mapping and Cartography of the Soviet Ministerial Council, the map was distributed by Omsk Cartographic Plant.
The world map calendar published by the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) in 1955 was printed by Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nuenberg A.G. (Augsburg-Nuremberg Machine Factory).
